Explaining the Geography of Religion

The issue of religion has occupied the minds of many past and present geographers throughout the history of geography. The present research is an introduction to fundamental epistemological issues in the realm of the geography of religion; From this point of view, the purpose of this article is to interest and call for geographically practice and geographically thinking in Iran to help researchers in this field to obtain a reasonable view on these issues in research and to gain the ability to think in a coherent and fruitful way. Continue on the various topics of geography of religion; On the other hand, in the analysis of religious phenomena, they should measure and follow it based on the geographical form. In this research, the epistemological approach of geography of religion to the authors' narrative, the method of textual analysis has been used. to find the answer, we have tried to make concept of geography of religion from the perspective of world-renowned geographers. The results show that by exploring the epistemological dimensions of the geography of religion from the perspective of positivist, phenomenological and critical approaches to religious phenomena and accuracy in them, does not mean choosing one to reject the other, so from the authors' point of view, thinking Serious geography, a peripheral and path-breaking society, involves the threefold combination of positivist, phenomenological, and critical geography in the exploration of religious phenomena, and openness to all three brilliant legacies of intellectual traditions, and seen in the philosophical heritage of these schools of geography.
